I don’t know I feel like it’s such a normality to have tvs and such now a days but I think I’d be quite happy with out. Living area for family time, games, dining area for eating together and arts and crafts and then bedrooms for sleeping playing reading you knoww
I haven't had a tv in 15 years! It broke all those years ago and we never replaced it. We can watch anything on a tablet nowadays. I only miss it when we would like to watch a movie altogether as the tablet's screen is small or for big football matches but that's always a good reason to go and watch it at a friend's house! ;) We watch a lot less crap and meals are screen free, I wouldn't want to go back to having a TV! All of that to say it's definitely doable!
We have no social media (besides this dumpster fire), no iPads for the kids, and they aren't getting smart phones til they can buy their own with their first job at like 15. But we do have the TV on quit a bit and have retro and handheld systems. But I actually think you're amazing for maintaining a TV free existence too!
Not weird at all, we have a TV in the house but I haven’t personally watched it in weeks and my daughter gets close to no screen time. We do lots of board games and crafting!
Wouldn’t say you’re silly or stupid. It’s up to you. I couldn’t do it. I enjoy tv. When your kids get older they might rebel a bit though. Something to consider. Especially as all their friends will have tv/screens etc. it could be quite isolating for them.
It’s up to you what you do! We only have one TV in our house. So it’s limited to movies really. Mainly on a rainy Sunday afternoon! Board games are a big hit in our house. Crafting not so much. Lots of walking and being outside
No. We didnt have a TV for years. We have one now but once second baby is born were putting the TV in storage
@Nikki I love this
Um, why stupid? If it's just you and your kids in the house then you can set things up the way you want it 🤷 I'd rather do without screens too but my partner is addicted to tv and phones so I'm kindda stuck ...
