If you don’t have a uterus, you don’t have a say” vs. Circumcision and Gender-Based Authority

Here for the comments too👀 I am not sure these arguments are comparable. Is “no uterus no say” regarding all of women’s health? Or abortion?

Please clarify the question. I really don’t understand the correlation The second part of the question is what is confusing.

I'm the parent I make the decisions, I believe are best for my children, until they are old enough to make the decisions for themselves. My son is circumcised. I left the decision up to my fiance because he has a penis. But my son was born a preemie and ended up having extra foreskin anyway, so the best medical decision was for him to be circumcised. Even if that didn't happen, he still would've been circumcised anyway. Because we are the parents and we make the decisions until their old enough to make decisions for themselves.

I also feel like the the father of a child having more of a say when it comes to circumcision doesn't match the no uterus, no say line of thinking... Because the woman is making decisions about her own uterus/body. It's not his penis/body that he's making a decision for.

My son isn’t circumised that’s genitalia mutilation and it shouldn’t be okay. All the statistics on it is highly retarded as it’s a man’s “natural look” tf you mean it’s not safe or more prone to? yeah no. They manipulate the world too easily by saying else wise. Did you know across the world 140 million little girls have had genital mutilation? I mean like from 0 to 15 year old girls. Imagine as a woman they cut our outsides? Our fucking “sensations” and you’re gonna tell me it’s not the same? yeah you couldn’t. think about if you’d like it done to you before you inflict it on a innocent baby boy. I’ve had a partner who was uncircumcised and he told me he’s extra sensitive to pleasure. They literally are stealing a males natural “lubricant” and “hood” to “protect them from stds” you get stds regardless. circumcision could help with hygiene over all but that’s not that realistic us as woman have to stay clean as well. They cut foreskin for skin care products to profit, argue w ya mama.

Yeah no. Circumcision is a cosmetic choice, the health benefits have been disproven. Uterus choices are typically made with health in mind. Not cosmetic.

It’s “MY uterus, my decision”. That’s what no uterus no opinion means. That’s why the other slogans are things like “get your laws off MY body”. And don’t forget, these are slogans and catchy phrases, not the entirety of a well phrased argument. The comparable circumcision type phrase would be “if you want to cut off parts of a dick, do it to your own!” Or something.
