Is my baby wearing nappy size too small?

What size nappy are they in? It might be the nappy that you could size up for overnights, or try a vest size bigger as that can also impact fit x

I think so as we go 12 hours with nappy not leaking at night x My 4 month old is on size 4.

She is in a size 2 but based on both comments I’m going to try the bigger nappies over night! I definitely do need to shop for bigger vests too so will make sure I do that today!

Nappy sizes vary. A size 2 Morrisons Nutmeg is smaller than a size 2 Aldi Mamia which are both smaller than a size 2 Pampers for example. Aldi fit great for us in the day. She's not ready for the bigger size Aldi but occasionally leaked at night but Pampers seemed ok as a mid-size. Just expensive! If they fit high enough on her back and don't leave marks on her legs then it's likely to be her clothes holding her nappy too close to the skin. Failing that, some mornings there's barely anything in her nappy and others it's really heavy. May have just reached capacity!

I’m in a 2 for day time but started putting a 3 for nights (Aldi) and seem to hold it. I did have a couple of damp mornings but that could have been user error 😂

My son is size 2 pampers during the day ( I have a couple ones left) and size 3 during the night as the size 2 during the night started leaking and we never had issues with pampers nappies before before.

All babies are going to be so different but if you have a look at the packaging of the nappies you buy it will tell you the weight that is recommended. We just sized up to a size 3 because we had the same thing with leaks, I had no idea she was in the right weight group for size 3! Some brands are different as other people have mentioned so just have a look at the packaging and if baby is within the weight then have a go at the size 3 and see how you get on ☺️

Mine is 6.4kg and has been in size 3 nappies. She's been sleeping through the night for a while so I use pampers baby dry, and always try to change her after a feed so it's not too full

Thank you for all of the hints and tips mamas! Just to update you all, she slept through the night again and I did shop for bigger vests as well as tried her in a size 3 nappy for the night. (We were gifted with a load of pampers new baby premium protection in size 1 2 and 3.) I’ve felt a nice full nappy with no leaks! I’ll try and use the size 2s in the day and size 3s in the nights moving forward ☺️ Thank you all! 🥰
