I literally wrote this post yesterday, my little boy is exactly the same. I’ve never seen it so bad, he is really really struggling and doing all the same things, and now also has an ear infection because of it. I have no suggestions, normally anbesol sorts him out but it doesn’t take the edge at all. I’ve been alternating calpol and nurofen every few hours to try and keep on top of it. I gave him a mini milk at dinner which helped a little
@jess horrible to say but I’m glad it’s not just us. I was alternating both too but nothing seemed to help tbh. I went back to work yesterday and everyone said he was more or less himself, whinging a little here and there but I took him back to A&E on Weds evening and the doctor says he does have teeth erupting but none look inflamed etc as I was confused as to whether take him to a dentist or A&E but 111 said to go A&E. We saw the same Doctor as Sunday but then we saw a consultant after who said his glands and tonsils were up too and that could be contributing towards the teething but if he was no better today, to come back and he would do a finger prick blood test as his ears may be getting better but not his throat. Due to him having no temp then and only being on antibiotics for a few days he didn’t do bloods then as it wouldn’t be able to dictate if it was viral or bacterial. He ate like usual yesterday too but fingers crossed these teeth erupt and your little one feels better❤️
Cucumber helped my little one, even a bit of ice cream helped as it was soothing on his gums. Maybe frozen banana could work too
