New to cloth diapers

Hey yall! I’m a first time momma to a 1 year old boy. We decided it was time to try cloth diapering because of the price for disposable diapers. Spending $50 on a box of diapers is ridiculous. I’ve bought 15 cloth diapers so far (not including liners). Do I need more? I know I need to order more liners. I don’t have many of them. How many inserts do you recommend I need…. My son doesn’t understand anything about potty training so we are still very dependent on diapers.

I go through 10-15 diapers with my 1 year old girl, I use trifolds for inserts and pad fold them for extra absorbency. I have roughly 35 diapers and 40-45 inserts, I wash every other day. Feel free to reach out with any questions🫶🏼

If you're looking to try cloth and want to try different diaper options without investing a bunch of money check out the Cloth Option! It's a non profit that sends out loaner cloth diapers.

really depends how often you want to do laundry. we have 21 esembly inners, and started with 8 pockets (used as covers). ended up with maybe 12-15 pockets now. i usually use all 21 diapers and do disposable while doing diaper laundry if we have disposables on hand. if not, then i’ll wait until we’re down to 3-4 diapers left to do diaper laundry. for liners, i have 24 & 8 overnighters. i wash roughly about every 3-4 days. we change his diaper every 2 hours.
