1 year old wants to sleep on my chest

When breastfeeding my 1 year old keeps moving himself from side lying to on my chest. I sleep laying flat. Is this ok or should I be more upright now? Basically like this photo (not mine)

As long as he has good head control and can roll over I don’t see why this would be an issue.

I would say it’s okay at that age they are able to move fine so I wouldn’t worry about it.

Yeah he’s pretty strong, are blankets/pillows still a risk? My concern is if he rolls onto the side and ends up in the middle where my husband sleeps and gets snuggled in the duvet

Duvets and pillows are still a risk unfortunately but it depends on you and your baby. I only have a 1 tog on my bed and 1 side is completely tucked in and can’t be pulled out so my 8.5 months old does sleep under it with me occasionally. She also doesn’t ever move down in her sleep only up so it doesn’t worry me as much now

He’s 1, he can turn around when sleeping just make sure there’s nothing that could suffocate your baby ☺️

Thanks all!!

I put 1-2 pillows under my head and back (perpendicular to the bed head) and pull the duvet under my hips. I'd say make sure the duvet isn't too heavy but he should be fine. Isn't it the best thing when they fall asleep on us ? 🥹 Reminds me when she was born and for some reason makes me fall asleep almost instantly

@Elle yes it is so cute! Thanks for the tips 🥹
