@maddie did the rods work?
They helped me progress a little bit so they could pop my waters so we could start the hormone drip :)
@maddie did you end up having a vaginal birth? I had csec with my first hoping this time I dilate and baby drops
No, baby ended up being back to back so we only got to 2cm then they decided to do a c-section
@maddie ah how are you feeling that’s one thing I really wanted to avoid having a Csection again. I haven’t heard many positive outcomes on the dilapan rods

Still a little sore but I was pleasantly surprised about recovery. Started driving at the weekend after 2 weeks. I did have a post dural puncture headache which was awful but it cleared up after a few days. It was emergency in the end, they didn’t want to do one due to risk of bleeding but it luckily went to plan
@maddie also did you have epidural
I ended up having 2 as the first one fell out when I moved 🤦🏼♀️ then they did the spinal for the c-section

@maddie will be going back tomorrow at 1pm fingers crossed it works 😭 they told me there’s only 50% chance that I’ll have a vaginal birth and I didn’t dilate the first time with my first

I was, I did originally go through the hormonal route and didn’t make much progress. Then had the rods fitted and got to a stage where they could pop my waters. It was uncomfortable having them put it in but removal was super easy and painless x
