Cry it out

Really struggling with putting my little one down for any kind of sleep. I don’t have the time to rock to sleep or contact nap ALL the time. Has anyone tried the cry it out method or anything similar to get them to self soothe to sleep?

Didn’t help me at all. Tried everything and then one day he just switched all I do is lay him down and sit next to him and sometimes hold his hands but that’s only on the night he physically refuses to sleep inside during the day I literally have to taking him out in the pram for atleast 10mins so he would fall asleep and then he stays outside cause if I bring him In he immediately wakes up so god knows how to do it 🤣

We were having an extreme issue with sleep with our baby boy for a few weeks and after some research, we were able to determine it was prob a few things hitting at once (separation anxiety, teething, sleep regression) but most importantly, we discovered our little dude was over tired like crazy! We based his wake windows off of his age range but after some research, we tried basing it off anything that looked like a sleep queue and sure enough.. our dude is a great sleeper again! What we did was at the FIRST sign of him being tired (yawn, eye rub, tubing his head or face into something or just him spacing out for a sec) we immediately put him in his sleep sack and lied him down and he went from clingy, and taking an hour of screaming to fall asleep.. to him passing out within 15min. Not only did that help him sleep faster.. but we went from 20min long naps to 1hr-2hr long naps. We also determined on average he was making it 1.5hrs before getting sleepy again. We also created a

A sleep table that tracked the following: 1. When he started to show sleep queues. 2. What time we lied him down at in his crib. 3. What time he fell asleep. 4. What time he woke up. This was so we could track how long it would take him to fall asleep and how long he would sleep for so we can create a nap time routine of what hours out of the day, on average, is he sleeping at

I would never do the cry out method , sorry I don’t have the heart for it lol.

Have you tried feeding to sleep? We always let our little boy fall asleep on his bottle and it’s so easy to put him down after. People have bad things to say about this but it works for us and sleep coaches say it’s not a bad thing! I wouldn’t leave baby to cry if you can help it xx

My girl was like this and would also make multiple times in the night and struggle to put herself back to sleep. We just got her a new mattress and she now sleeps through. It’s either a bit coincidence that it started the first night on the new mattress or she was finding the old one extremely uncomfortable.
