My little boy has been the same the last few days and turned 7 weeks yesterday. It hard but I'm sure it'll pass soon 🤞 x
Totally normal during the fourth trimester. My little boy is 12 weeks and we're still trying to get him to nap in his cot. Agree a sling/carrier is a massive help so you can get stuff done whilst they sleep
Normal. Hard and frustrating, but normal. Learning to be an outside baby is hard. Practice 1 nap a day in the crib/bassinet. When you lay baby down, put feet down first then slowly make your way to getting his head on the mattress. Then leave your hand on his stomach, or wherever is most comfortable for you and him as he settles on the mattress and slowly remove your hand once he is settled. For the rest of the naps, babywear so you can get stuff done around the house as needed
I would get a wrap hun. It made my life soooo much easier. I even got Pilates done while my babe was in there
It’s so hard when you just gave birth and you are still getting used to to not having any you time anymore. I say this with all the love bc now I have an 18 month old and I wish I could be more present and not have so much anxiety in those first few months. Try to soak it up and enjoy the little snuggles. But I know things have to get done so Some tricks are feet and bum firsts while trying to lay them down. Wait a good 10 mins after they have fallen asleep. Are you swaddling? The reflex will wake them up. Are you watching to make sure they are tired before trying for nap? Around 6 weeks is when I started a routine bc I had to go back to work at 10 weeks pp. wake same time daily. I followed taking Cara babies lots of good information from her. Room dark enough maybe some white noise?
Contact naps during the day are the only thing that works for me right now! She’ll sleep in her bassinet at night, but during the day she wants to be close to me — and so I use a wrap/carrier to get her to take a nap while I do things around the house (or simply watch Netflix). Maybe something like that could help? Doesn’t completely get him out of your arms, but gives you your arms back to do other things.
