Bedtime nightmare

3.3 year old is suddenly having a really bad time at bedtime. Crying, not wanting us to leave. Screaming sometimes. He's usually great at bedtime, he has a tonie which he normally stays in bed to listen to but this last 2/3 weeks he's really struggling with us leaving. Advice needed please. It's taking like an hour and half for him to fall asleep. Goes up at.7 and now not falling asleep until at least 8:30, maybe 9. He won't tell me what's happened or why he's upset. We are going up to him every time he gets out of bed, maybe 10? I just need advice on what to do. Thanks

Hello! Most common reason for bedtime battles with our older little ones is needing connection overnight. Also around 3 their imagination tends to kick in a bit more so it’s normal for fears and worries to appear overnight! What’s your bedtime routine like atm? Worth double checking he’s got enough sleep pressure when he goes to bed too x

Creating a nightime prayer before bed of peaceful sleep and protection helped.

Following - my girl is having the same problem, but she's not quite 3 yet. Transitioning is the hardest.
