How many feeds a night is your baby having?

My baby is a week off being 6 months… he wakes for 2 feeds a night, I’m just curious as to what other people’s babies are having? I was debating trying to wean him off the feeds, at least 1, but I think he needs them tbh so I will wait till he’s ready but just curious! I think because he only had 5oz bottles throughout the day (sometimes 6), maybe he needs it in the night too? How many oz is your baby on?

Following as I’m in the exact same boat.

He wakes 3-4 times and out of habit and it’s also faster to put him down this way - I feed him 2-3 times 😅

He used to (since 11 weeks) wake for only 1 feed (4am ish) where he’ll drink 5oz. Recently he’s started often waking around 1am as well 😑 & thr only way to get him back to sleep is a feed. I add up how much my boy drinks per 24hrs and it’s quite a bit under the recommended amount for his weight. So I wasn’t planning to try to make him ditch his night feed (now night feeds 😑) anytime soon. He usually totals about 750mls per day. According to his weight (14.5lbs) he should be drinking 975 - 1,250 mls a day 🫥

@Laura I get so jealous when people say their babies sleep through or even just 1 feed I’d be made up😂 I know it could be so much worse but I can dream

@Zeynep this is exactly what I was thinking as my boy wakes up at a similar time every night 2 times so I’m unsure if it’s out of habit but yeah he only really falls back to sleep if I feed him😂

@Elle yeah I don’t think my boy drinks enough for his weight which is why he needs it in the night, I wish he’d have more in the day😂😭

he's EBF but he feeds 3 times including the 10pm ish feed

2 or 3 night feeds, but then mine has been eating poorly during the day so think she's making up for it at night😅

3 :(

Mine sleeps 9ish hours at night with one feed after about 6 hours. If he wakes up before that (and he does) we just shush him back to sleep. When he wakes up before or after his feeding time he doesn’t really cry, just loves around. Sometimes he just wakes up to change position..

One or 2 x

At least 2 wakes and we feed him back to sleep

@Sophy I feel you on this! He demolishes his bottles in the night then sometimes lacks on the ones in the day 😩

@Zhana ahhh gosh it’s hard isn’t it!! I’m Constantly seeing that babies sleep through at this age from others, so I’ve reassuring to know many of us are all in it together too

@Francesca how long does it normally take you to shush him back to sleep? I was trying to go in his room and shhh I’m snd resettle him both times that he does wake for a feed but he just cries… the first wake up he’s normally hysterical so I think he does need that one, but the second wake up he’s normally just making noises and staring, especially into the camera😂 but he just doesn’t go back to sleep so then I end up going in to feed him and he goes back to sleep🤦🏽‍♀️

Mine is a terrible sleeper wakes atleast 4 times in the night. He does suffer from silent reflux though and no matter how long you hold him after feeding to sleep (the only way he goes down) or do everything else they recommend. No changes happen. We have had breastfeeding issues so I wonder if he just isn’t getting enough fatty milk to do long stretches despite gaining weight. Either that or he still hasn’t figure out how to connect sleep patterns. I don’t think I’ve slept longer than two hours since he was born 🙃

Usually no more than 5 minutes. He rarely has a breakdown, if he does he needs feeding!

@Georgina ahh gosh that sounds really tough!! I hope his sleep gets better for the both of you soon 😩🥰
