Eye contact
What’s “normal” at this age? Any replies would be greatly appreciated. My son looks at me in the eye if I’m singing, or saying something he finds interesting (animal sounds, counting etc) - but if I’m talking to him about something he’s not bothered about he won’t look at me 🥹 he responds to his name fine. Thanks xx

Babies are like cats. They respond and interact when THEY want to… I will call my child’s name for ages, but, if she is doing something or just doesn’t care to respond, she will flat out ignore me.
If I say “dinner time,” he’ll stare me out and come running. If I say “bedtime,” suddenly I don’t exist, I’m not in the room, he heard nothing 😂 totally normal.
