Honestly every child is different, so do what's best for your child. Health visitors are there to advise but that's all it is, is advise. If it takes a bit longer to transition that's fine. I've not started to transition my daughter but I exclusively pump and I don't want to stop that journy.
@Farzana this is so helpful thank you!!! This is exactly what I'm aiming for. I'm not ready to stop the bottles morning and Night at all, so planning to continue them and same, I don't wanna do the sipy Cup for milk, only water! Thank you again x
@Helen brilliant response thank you, like u said its advice and that's it. So thank you! I think my LO is ready for cows milk without the formula but don't wanna run before we walk if you get me? And totally with you, don't finish anything you're both not ready to finish!
Mine is on 1 bottle of cows milk and 2 formula at the moment, he’s definitely not ready to drop milk all together
I did it over a week, each day I used more cows milk than formula then and after a week he is just on cows milk now. Technically they don’t need milk but my boy still has 2 bottles, morning and night. Even my 2 year old still has milk morning and night 😂
Keep doing you We are on 3 bottles a day of 1/2 and 1/2 Baby was 1 today
Weve been slowly replacing formula with cows milk from a sippy cup with her snacks. We've got the afternoon bottle still to transition But I don't think we'll be dropping the bedtime bottle any time soon!
I think you’re doing it fine, it’s what works best for you. My daughter had straight changes to cows milk soon as she turned 1 and I was just finishing off the leftover formula. She has 4oz whole milk morning, she has more milk with her Weetabix or porridge and then she has food throughout the day but sometimes I’d offer milk only because she doesn’t eat much anyway on a bad day. At night she’ll have 4/5oz of milk before bed. She has it in a bottle I’m not ready for her to have it in a sippy cup but she does have her water in that. She loves yogurt so she gets calcium from that and cheese.
