@Amber I hear you on news sources being bias. I don’t think any news source is unbiased. I mean trump literally only allows certain press to cover his press conferences. That’s why we need to use critical thinking and check sources before ever believing anything. The research is being reallocated, but to where? Funding is being threatened to be stripped from places like Harvard that are doing important research on cancer, genetics, etc. just bc they won’t adhere to new DEI guidelines and removing. America does have a system to try to prevent far right or far left systems, but the current administration is actively working to dismantle that system and our president is aligning himself with dictators. We are headed towards a dictatorship and/or oligarchy. It’s frustrating to watch and feel so helpless, but I also don’t think we can just be blind to it.
It's kind of funny because I had anxiety the last two years. Research isn't being taken away, it's being reallocated. Do I agree with everything? No. But the other 4 years he was president it was the first time in a very long time there were no new wars or threats of wars and that made me feel safer in my country. America has a system set in place where it will never be a far right or far left system. I'd suggest staying off mainstream media (which is bias thanks to the Obama administration) and look at world News sources.
