Transition to crib?!

Hi all! My lo is in a next to me crib but is a VERY active sleeper, to the point she’s waking up every 15/20 mins when smacking her arms off the sides and actually bruising herself (we’ve tried swaddling to avoid this but she absolutely hates it to the point she screams bloody murder! I want to put her in her big crib in her own room with one of us sleeping in there with her on a sofa bed, has anyone done anything similar and/or moved baby into their own room before 6 months? I know NHS states 6 months but it’s killing both of us to not sleep and she’s hurting herself! Thank you!!

I think as long as someone is there with her she should be ok.. we had our boy in his cot for a few nights with one of us on a wee bed next to him just for respite as he is the exact same, his arms flap about constantly to the point he wakes himself up!

Have you tried the love to dream swaddles where there hands are up rather than down? X

From 2/3 months not entirely sure when but we put my LG at the other end of our room so I’m assuming sort of similar to what you mean so not being directly next to them but still in the room? We did it because she would be asleep but we’d still be up watching tv and things and it was better for her to not get disturbed being the other side of the room and she was perfectly fine xx

@Emily yeah I brought about 3 before she was born, hated them 🤣 such a waste of money!

Next to me cribs are pretty new, before that all children slept in cots so nothing wrong with putting baby in theirs from now as long as you follow safe sleep guidelines (no pillows, loose blankets, toys, bumpers etc put baby on their back) as long as someone is in the room with them it's no different to them being in your room

@Chloe she’s in a sleep bag so no blankets etc! Yeah we take turns on the sofa bed and she has the owlet and snuza breathing monitor as well!

@Leanne it’s awful isn’t it they’re so frantic with the movements as well!

That's perfect then, sounds very safe so if it suits you guys then go for it 👍🏻
