Sleep regression 🫩

My little boy has never been a good sleeper. He's 18 months old and had silent reflux as a baby and is dairy intolerant. Solid bedtime routine. Follow wake windows or tired cues. Daytime naps between 1 hour or 2 hours. Can't extend anymore if only 1 hour. Bedtime used to go down after some milk no issues and we got it down to 1 -3 wakes a night for a drink then back to sleep. Now bedtime is a battle and he has to be cuddled to sleep. Wakes frequently like every hour and today was awake from 3am. Tired to get him back to sleep for nearly 2 hours before I gave in and got up for the day. He does have a cough and snotty nose and I'm doing everything I can for that but wondering if there is also an element of maybe 18 month sleep regression? Has anyone else experienced this or going through this because WE ARE TIRED 😩

I am thinking there must be an 18 month regression as my little one finally starting sleeping through with one wake up max to now waking every 2/3 hours and we are back to co sleeping as I’m pregnant and exhausted

We've been having the 18m regression was well. Not this bad but he keeps refusing his daytime nap 🫠 the rest of the day is hell. Does yours still have 2 naps?

@Jaz ours is only one one nap which isn't affected. Is still napping as normal but it's the bedtime and frequent night wakings that are wild

@Megs yes we are the same. Sleep got much better for us compared to what it was with one to two wake ups and BOOM. Since Monday night it's been HELL. He is also poorly which doesn't help but I have tried everything.

Around the 18 month mark is a common age for disrupted sleep. We’re seeing this with our 18 month old and are feeling tired here too. He’s developing so much language wise currently and also seen an increase in separation anxiety. Hope things get easier soon for you. If bedtime is a battle have you tried pushing it later to build more sleep pressure 💕

@Louise good to know it's common. We have tried but he woke at 3am this morning and would not go back to sleep so had to do 2 naps and he struggled to make it past 7pm. X
