Sleep schedule

I just wondered what age we can start to try and get our baby into a bedtime routine?

My baby is 16 months old but I would recommend do it as soon as you can, I did with mine when she was about a month old and it changed our lives for the better!

We started around 5-6 weeks? He’s 6.5 months now and we still do the same thing!

@Gigi what did it look like at a month old? Mine is a month & she goes to sleep at various times so it is hard to do a “bedtime” routine.

I started at 6 weeks being more aware and conscious of sleep times and then by 7/8 weeks, she was miles better with her naps and sleeping! C

You can start as early as you want, just remember that newborns don't have circadian cycles yet and the routine might not work until they are a little older (16+ weeks). But it might work and might help you to set some sort of routine! Just don't get stressed if this doesn't work. Little bubba might need some time x

@Jessica i used to give her a bath around 19:30, then get dressed bottle and asleep around 20:30 used a sleeping bag which im sure most of you mums use too. She used to wake up twice for about 20-30mins once at 2:30am then around 5:30-6:00am and sleep until 8:30am. Her last nap of the day was 5pm ish if I remember correctly I tried to entertain her so she got tired. I had no idea about wake windows etc back then I was winging this routine and worked for me. Also white noise for us is a must she still sleeps with it now. Hope this helps! ❤️
