My partner is obsessed with metal and the ONLY thing that will calm our son down when he cries is literally the heaviest death metal on the planet. I’ve started to come around to some of my partner’s metal playlists but the stuff our son likes is ROUGH and I just don’t understand how it calms him down! He’s 5 weeks old. I’m like your son - my dad used to use the fact that I could recite the entire Beatles catalogue by the age of seven as a party trick. I had a Beatle room in my house at 10. Still obsessed 25 years later!

When my son was about 3 or 4 years old, I only listened to reggae. We were in the car, and an AC/DC song came on the radio. He jumped straight out of his carseat and started exclaiming, "This is SO good!" I pulled over, obviously, because he was totally crazed with excitement jumping all over the car.
