I don’t see how this would make a difference? Your cervix thins during contractions and basically turns into nothing and then baby is in birth canal

@Shannon the doctor just told me that there’s nearly 0 chance of me having vaginal birth because of high long cervix at 1cm

Ok maybe they meant you won’t give birth vaginally when your cervix is like that… but after you’ve had contractions your cervix changes. Maybe the Dr didn’t describe it very well. If this is something your worried about tell your midwife because they will be able to explain it to you better :)

It's not impossible, as you go into labour your cervix does move. Mine was the same i birthed at 41+5. I got 5cm dilated but cos my baby was so active (not in distress) and he wouldn't stay still to progress the dilation I opted for c section, was knackered after 24 hours of contractions 😂 Our bodies are incredible what they can do

@Vicky it can cause a delay in labour as your body works harder to thin the cervix but it is definitely not impossible

@Shannon yeah defo not impossible, I got to 5cm and was done for so elected c section. But it wasnt said to me I couldn't continue with a natural birth so I could have if I wanted too, I was just too exhausted and with an active baby it was the better option in the moment for myself

@Vicky sorry I read that as in you saying it was impossible (baby brain!!!)

@Shannon no worries!!! 🥰
