Got health visitors appointment next week but I have some concerns for my daughter. Not sure if anyone can relate and give advice ?

Concerns Social interactions - prefers adult company. If playing with children she can be mildly unintentionally aggressive (cuddle them to the ground) Eating - has stopped eating, used to eat anything now will only want certain foods. Also eats (attempts to eat) stones, sand, pencils, anything gritty. And nail biting Language - has an amazing vocabulary and will hold a conversation so many words. However can’t pronounce anything correctly. Mainly vowel sounds I feel like these things point to a certain direction but I don’t know what to expect

These sound like typical toddler behaviours. She’s only 2 years old and still learning. You can’t expect her to pronounce words correctly and clearly or know how to interact with other children in all situations, u know. It’s going to be okay 😊

The eating could be pica from an iron deficiency. You can request bloods from the GP. Also they do go through stages of food aversions and enter the snack era. At this age they still don’t tend to play together, either observe or parallel play. In terms of language there plenty of people in this groups with toddlers that don’t speak at all. They are going at it at different stage. I have worked in disabilities for a long time. The children that are in need of assessment flag up on significant delays in milestones and more often than not experience a speech regression around 1 where it disappears. Try not to worry. Look into the diet and deficiency side

This all sounds entirely normal. My son has started to like children , speaks well but eating is a whole new ballgame - albeit we just introduced a sticker chart and today was the first day he tried lunch at Nursey since he started over a year ago ! Big moment ! He eats snacks and dinner like finger foods and anything with hummus . But seriously your toddler sounds spot on xx

Thank you !! Sometime there’s too many negative voices from people when you have a child. It’s nice to be reassured
