Sleep regression help ideas?

My now 3month old boy has started refusing his basinet. He will only sleep if I'm holding him or if I'm laying next to him. When I transfer gently to his basinet he wakes up or gets really restless then wakes up crying. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated. He just started this last week. I don't know if it's sleep regression or if he just doesn't like the feel of his basinet anymore. I feed in bed or on the couch while I lay on my side and him next to me. It doesn't hurt my back as much. Maybe he's getting used to the comfyness of the bed and couch? I'm a first time mom so I'll take any advice please

Hey Faith, look up the 4 month sleep regression. It’s very normal behaviour for around this age. I have been here twice and it’s hard. I can completely sympathise with you. We found doing drowsy but awake helps but you have to be persistent with it. Keep popping them down whilst they’re still away but about to sleep xx

Ride the wave unfortunately and do what you can to make him sleep. My baby at 3.5 months stopped liking her bassinet or sleeping indoors it was only car, carrier or pram walks OUTSIDE that helped 😅 it does pass though so contact naps are atleast indoors. You'll be fine 🙂 x

In all honesty, you can try naps in your next to bed or crib with full darkness, sound machine, do your night time routine for every nap, and it might work. Mine did eventually.

Thank you ladies I really appreciate it. Little man and I will keep riding out !

I started a bedtime routine when mine went through the regression. She gets fed, then a bit of play, then bath, then a little baby massage, then fed again and bed. It made a big difference for us. Although to be fair shes always slept in her crib in her nursery so a bit different!

I just did contact naps for the same reason until about 6 months when I sleep trained and it was a game changer.

Thank you all
