I was shaking after they brought me into recovery but they put a heated blanket on me and after a while it calmed down. Its very normal as our bodies have been through a lot

Apparently it’s due to the drop in hormones but I don’t remember mine being that bad, bless you, sorry it lasted that long!

Yes I had this really bad during and after the c section felt like my jaw was going to fall off I could hardly speak 🙈 they said it's side affects from the spinal anaesthetic and obviously nerves can make it worse I was trying to do some deep breathing then eventually it eased off when they placed her on to my chest

I didn’t know about it until it was happening and I thought something was really wrong

Yeah it wasn’t nice at all! And same I really thought something was wrong x

Soooo scary

💯 ! The surgery went well it’s just after and a week later I had an infection which I had to stay in hospital for 1 week which just spiked my anxiety up! Idk I just think the whole thing gave me really bad anxiety specially if to have another c section I think I’d be a wreck 😂

Yes I was shaking like crazy!!! I could barely keep my mouth still and bit down so that my jaw would stop moving. It was very annoying to say the least!

It was scary. I thought I was just cold. For about an hour I was shivering and shaking. It started while they were closing me up

I know it’s crazy ain’t it! Was so happy when they discharged me but then i ended back a week later because of the infection 😩 us moms go through so much on a daily it’s crazy! X

After my first i did bad. Not so much after my second. Ive heard its partly hormone drop, partly epidural side effect. I had a spinal for my second, so idk if that made the difference.

Yeah honestly it’s crazy what we go through lol

I did during the c section bad and kept throwing up clear liquid smh and no one explained to me what was happening I just kept saying I’m freezing and no one bothered to tell me what was happening smh

It's completely normal. They warned me about it beforehand. I also couldn't hold my baby for hours afterwards! They had to put a heated blanket on me to try and help stop it 😂

Very normal I would’ve said. My body went into shock. Blood pressure went through the roof. I was shivering and then hot. They thought I had sepsis.

yeah, I remember feeling super shaky after my c-section too, it was like my body was just in shock or something... totally freaked me out at first! here's what the 'Heal App' says.... "It's not uncommon for women to experience shaking or shivering after a C-section, especially during the recovery phase. This can be due to several factors, including the effects of anesthesia, hormonal changes, or even the body's response to surgery. While it can be concerning, this shaking usually resolves on its own within a short period. However, if you continue to feel unwell or if the shaking returns, it would be wise to discuss this with your healthcare team to rule out any complications. How are you feeling now, and have you noticed any other symptoms?
