Baby words..

So my 10 and a half month daughter is an early talker. She said her first word at just 9 months (dada) she’s now 10 and a half months and she says “Dada, Dad, Nanna,Nan,oki meaning Loki for my dog, she also says yeah and even grandad … all these words are so so clear and she knows the people with the words, tried to get her to say mum, mumma.. she just will not say it at all, doesn’t even try to. Should I be concerned? As I thought mum was really easy to say considering grandad and Loki is really hard..

Always think of the way they have to put their mouth/lips to say something different, the things she is saying she doesnt have to put her lips together for, whereas mumma she does, just keep showing her what to do and say it to her, it will come🥰xx

Mumma is one of the hardest words for them to say. My daughter has only just started saying it but it’s not in reference to me, it’s just a sound she makes. She’ll get there

My eldest was a confident talker and had lots of words by 1. He didn't say mummy (skipped mama) until 16 months old! It's one of the hardest sounds. He was putting 2 words together before he said it 😂. My June baby has zero words but is now walking so they're all ap different.

My little girl has had issues saying dada. And only just said it today after nearly 2 months of saying mama.

That's great 👏 I would be proud not concerned. My daughter was an early talker, and now, at 2 and 4 months, she speaks better than some 3-year-old. My boy was born on 7th of June 22 the only thing he said is Mamma-as specially when his upset and wanted me😅, but he still didn't say dada🤷🏻‍♀️ all kids are different. Have a good Easter 🐣

My oldest had speech and language as a child and she said that the "mm" sound is one of the hardest. He was not able to pronounce it clearly until he was 6-7 years old. Don't worry too much. My little man started saying dada at 6 months and I heard the occasional "mmma" but it will come soon. 🥲
