How do I know baby get enough milk?

My baby is 9 months old and on 3 solid meals a day. She is breastfeeding 4 times a day and also having 2 bottles. How do I know she gets enough milk? Like the guidelines says 16-24 oz a day ( 500-600ml ) i know for sure she is getting 9 oz ( 270) because of the combination of the 2 bottles she is getting but the rest I don’t know how much she is drinking. The 2 times she is breastfeeding in the morning are the longest around 5/8 min one is at 5 am and then at 8 am but the afternoon one are short around 3/5 min. Do I miss something or it’s fine? Thank you 😊

You could do weighted feeds 🤷‍♀️

I think it’s finee, she’s taking longer in the morning is probably because your breasts are full and there’s more milk that needs emptying compared to when she’s only feeding for 3/5 mins x

With my first, she was bottle fed and she would only drink 4oz bottles for a very long time and I was worried because the guidelines were saying she should be having 8oz at some point but the gp reassured me that as long as she’s playing, happy, has a good nappy output that it’s all good. She might’ve just had a smaller appetite

@Lailuma yes also that, from the bottle she is drinking only 4 oz in the morning and 5/6 oz before bed, she is on 80 centerline scale so definitely she is gaining weight and she seems happy and content.

If she's gaining weight, peeing and pooing I wouldn't stress too much. Remember any dairy in the diet helps so cheese or milk in cooking or yoghurt. If she's on solid food she should also be having water with her food so should be fine.

@Sam yes I’m offering water at every meal even though she doesn’t drink much. I’m also offering cheeses

I never stressed as an exclusively breastfeeding mom .... I know she's getting something, but I have no idea how many oz. She seems full after she's done, and she's growing.

@Robin I know I should relax a bit as well, but so many things to have tracked on. Drive me crazy 🤦🏽‍♀️

I’m the same way with my 8m old He also refuses to nurse sometimes. I just trust that he’s getting what he needs.
