Conjunctivitis?
My 4 week old has had an bit of a sticky looking eye for the past 2 days I’m just wondering if anyone knows if this could be conjunctivitis or just a blocked tear duct? I feel silly for making a fuss if just a blocked tear duct and going to minor injuries for it…

my baby’s eye is like this and he doesn’t have it, their eye ducts aren’t mature yet so can weep, get in touch with a gp if it’s gunky within an hour of cleaning it x
Just keep cleaning it with cool boiled water on cotton wool, wipe from the nose to the cheek and then throw the cotton wool away and use a new piece for each wipe. My little one had the same at about week old and that's the advice I got from the midwife. It cleared up in a day or two.

I got the midwife to swab my little boys eye when she came out and he came back with conjunctivitis and they gave me some antibiotics x
