My first was an emergency c-section and I had my son vbac a year later. I loved the experience. The recovery was physically and mentally a lot better for me personally and I was able to move around easier for my little girl at the time. Ive also recently had a 2nd c-section (unplanned) and found the recovery very difficult. Although there has been 13 year between both sections. I preferred vbac personally. This is purely my personal experience and preference though 😊
i want a vbac too. but because my body isn’t healed from my last c-section my doctors said it’s a possibly of rupturing. i’m so scared but i want to experience vaginal..
Following as I would like to know due in July x
I loved a scheduled c section after my emergent 😅 I liked that I had an eviction date and it’s sooo much more relaxing and stress free compared to the first go around. I had my son in June of 2020 and the umbilical cord was too wrapped around him and it collapsed, so I was thrown into the operating room super fast. So I was a perfect candidate for a VBAC, but I wasn’t interested. I did lose my VBAC status at 36 weeks, bc she was a big girl 😅
Following, Emergency section Dec 2020 due again in October and I'm at a loss at what to do. Planned section is ideal for control but the recovery was awful, not sure what to do!
I had a C-section in November 2021 after being induced and getting stuck at 7cm…and I just had a VBAC two weeks ago! I went into labour spontaneously and got to 10cm but then I was fully dilated for 5hrs and my baby wasn’t moving down so they started talking C-section but then she moved down a bit so managed to push her out (but they did have to use ventouse). So not a perfect birth but overall I was happy with it and I’ve found the physical and mental recovery soooo much better than with the C-section.
Vbac is alot easier when healing.
I had an elective c section with my first and am having another elective c section in about two months. I was offered a VBAC but I told them I'm not one bit interested. I never would have been interested, but I'm also having twins and got pregnant at 17 months postpartum. Twin A is also switching between breech and transverse, so I probably wouldn't even have the option by the end unless he decides to go head down🤣
@Cheyann this is me except i had twins first as a c-section and got pregnant with this baby 9 months post partum. i think it’s safe to say a c-section would be the safest option for my unhealed body lol..
hmm, I totally get where you're coming from, it's such a tough decision! I've heard that a vbac can be great for recovery and bonding, but some moms worry about the risks too, so just make sure to chat with your doc about all your options! here's what the 'Heal App' says.... "It's great that you're considering your options for your upcoming delivery. A vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) can have several benefits, such as a shorter recovery time, less risk of infection, and a more immediate bonding experience with your baby. However, there are also risks to consider, including the potential for uterine rupture, which is rare but serious, and the possibility of needing an emergency cesarean if complications arise. On the other hand, a repeat cesarean can provide a sense of control over the delivery process and may be a safer option if there are specific concerns about your health or the baby's. It's important to weigh these factors based on your personal health history and pref
