Early labour?

Been up most the night with stomach and back pain. Gave up trying to sleep at 4 and now on the sofa watching tv feeling sorry for myself. No contractions I don’t think just a constant ache and feel really sick - almost like I’m going to have diahrhea or something as well. Could this be start of labour or stomach/GI issue from something I’ve eaten 😩

Also I’m only 38+4

I had this yesterday afternoon / evening and somewhat in the night - I’m 38 +5 today so I’m commenting to follow as I wasn’t sure either! Has yours stopped now? Mine seems to have come in waves so thought I’d ask☺️ hope you’re okay!

This sounds like my night last night. I’m 40+1 and lost my mucus plug yesterday too but no contractions x

Hard to say while you’re not having any other super obvious labour symptoms because hormones can really mess with your gut in the last few weeks of pregnancy. Convince yourself it’s sickness and then if contractions appear it’ll be a nice surprise instead of the disappointment of them not appearing… would be my very simple advice 🍀

Managed to get back to sleep for two hours this morning but still feel the same 😩 I think I’m going with it’s a stomach flu or similar and ride it out and if it turns into labour then it’s a win

Listen to your body. If you feel like you need to talk to triage, do. But from personal experience it’s so disappointing if you symptom spot and then it turns out to be nothing so I’d always rather convince myself it’s not labour and then if something changes and it becomes labour, nice surprise 🤷🏻‍♀️ hope you feel better and manage to get some rest xx

38+2 woke up yesterday with extreme sickness out of no where again, needing to wee every 15/20 minutes, went up to triage for reduced movements and turns out im in early labour! No other symptoms other than those however since coming home tonight to “progress further at home” like they told me to, the braxton hicks that I thought I was just having are a lot more intense and turned out to be early contractions! Triage wouldn’t check for dilation as his heart rate kept rising everytime it picked up I was having a contraction however to me when I was in triage they just felt like he was rolling around!! x
