@Loren If I put her to bed at 10pm she will wake at 6am which is not a bad time but would love a good stretch of 12 hours like yours! Im just finding myself so tired in the day where I’m going to sleep late… I’m guessing she’s used to having her final bottle at 10pm maybe? What time do your put your little one to bed? Ive googled that for 4-5 months should have a bedtime of 19.30-20-30pm but I know I shouldn’t rely on the internet!
Ours was the exact same, we slowly brought it forward from 10-11pm to 9pm as also found he would just wake up. So did 15 mins earlier every 3ish days. I always offer a “top up” bottle at 8:45pm even if he fed an hour before, sometimes he may have an ounce or sometimes the whole lot ! I find that keeps him full enough to sleep through the night and he’s still always within the amount he should be drinking. I also find it settles him right down to sleep ☺️
Similar to @Chloe Butterfield we gradually moved his bedtime earlier by 15 minutes or so over a couple of weeks and stuck to the same routine of bath bottle bed regardless of when he had his previous bottle.. he’s 15 weeks Monday and we now start his bedtime routine about 7:45pm so he goes to sleep about 8:30 and wakes up at about 6.30-7 but then goes back down again for another hour after his morning bottle usually 🥰
Thank you girls!!! I’ll try this tonight and get her to bed for 9.30ish and top her up with more milk then gradually move her bedtime. Thank you again xxx
@Sarah hope it works for you babe!! Try not to put too much pressure on yourself or her and I’m sure she’ll be as good as gold 🤞🫶🏽
@Sarah mine goes to bed around 7.30. Although she now has her final wake up around 6.30 so she's sleeping less now. She will never sleep more than 6hrs in one stretch and we've not had that for the last few days.
You could try & increase the oz but to be honest it sounds very normal for this age. Both my sons wake/woke once or twice a night for a feed & both their bedtimes were 7pm from about 10 weeks - just because they’d sleep from then so figured may aswell go to bed 😂 Dreamfeed about 9/10 & then wakes around 1 & 4 - not every night but most. Not all babies are capable of ‘sleeping through’ at this age xxx
My baby goes to sleep at 8, he’s 13 weeks today. He has 5 oz every 3-4 hours either breast milk or formula. He wakes up at 11, 3am and then he fully wakes up for the day at 7am. I always give him a bath before sleep, read, feed and play. Another thing that helped is to always have a walk outside before his bath. His last nap ends at 5:30/5:45 and then he’s awake till his bath time at 7.
What time does she wake? I find my baby wakes around 12hrs after bedtime so you could try getting her up earlier if yours is the same?
