Witching hour?

Anybody have any advice? My little girl is 4 weeks old and is so calm and easy to settle during the day. From 6-9pm she is inconsolable- crying, fussing, looks like tummy ache etc. it’s awful.

No idea if it’s right but I’m just sticking her on the boob/feeding her a bottle when this happens!

have you tried Colief? were the best for us and didn’t have any issues with my little one

Witching hour ! Is tough but does settle eventually xx

Our little girl has been going through that in her third week and we’ve literally tried everything. Swaddling her has helped, or putting her in a wrap against my chest, and then definitely a bottle simply to calm her down. I will say after 5 days straight, last night it didn’t happen. So this too will pass!

Does feeding settle her? She’s likely trying to regulate your milk if you’re breastfeeding. Sling walks and cuddles always helped my daughter. Embracing it, not fighting it and know it’s normal helps too!

My daughter had this going on except it was 7-9 weeks added an additional ounce of formula/breast milk to her bottle and it seemed to soothe her

If she has colicky symptoms have you tried pacing up and down and rocking &/ swaying her in your arms with gently shushing/singing/humming to try and help settle? Or using a sling? I absolutely relate to how tough this stage is 💕 We went through this with our LO. Sometimes we used to take him out in the pram for a walk and the motion sometimes used to help. They have such immature digestive systems at this age too so I would keep feeds small, frequent and pace the feeds and keep her upright too for a while after feeds. Look up wonky winding and maybe try doing bicycle legs and massage strokes. Hope this helps in some way x

Imogen Heap the happy song, bounce on a yoga ball, feed, change, repeat......take turns so you dont go mad......just keep going. IT DOES END I SWEAR.

We had this, nothing worked. Just holding her and dancing about with her. She outgrew it around 3 months.

Literally going through the same thing at the moment 🙏😬👍

For us it was being outside, i’d pop her in the sling and go for a walk or do laps in the garden with an audio book. It lasted 3/4 weeks and it was terrible at the time but does pass

It’s such a hard period when this happens but if it makes it any easier it won’t last forever. Just do whatever is right for you and your baby to get through that difficult period of time every night. I put my LO in a carrier and walked up and down with headphones in and sung ❤️
