I’m starting at 36 weeks as I’m booked in to have a c-section at 37 so I’m hoping I’ll get something as last time I didn’t get a single drop x
@Amy yeh I heard about that, will it not dry up or anything before 36/37 weeks as I’m worried last time I didn’t get any colostrum or anything x
@Katie I’ve never heard of it drying up in pregnancy so I don’t think so?, I’m assuming it won’t anyways as the midwives would tell you to collect earlier if it was a possibility, deffo something to speak about at your next appointment tho if your worried about it x
Colostrum harvasting can start from 36-37 weeks. You can read our blog on this topic including guide of how to collect and how to store and why it is so important practice to bost milk supply. Hope it wkll bd helpfull https://mylee.life/blogs/mylee-blog/colostrum-harvesting-during-pregnancy
It’s not recommend to collect before 36-37 weeks due to risk of stimulating premature labour, your midwife should give you syringes at your later appointments to start collecting x
