Has anyone been abroad with a toddler or baby?

We went with our son first time when he was 9 months and he was brilliant! It was much easier than I anticipated, he slept the whole way back as it was a late flight and slept some of the way going. We had some really great people around us as well who were lovely with him. Don’t stress, it will be fine 😊 xx

We went when our boy was 15month to Cyprus but it was great! He ate constantly the whole way there and slept the whole way back. Not exactly a relaxing holiday but was amazing xx

We went to Jamaica and to Sri Lanka with our then 1.5/ 2 year old. And he’s also often been to Netherlands by plane but that’s super short. It was both absolutely fine and we had the best time on both holidays. We did road trips in both countries and our LO loved it. Perhaps book a night/ evening flight so your LO sleeps? This year we’ve planned three holidays abroad too with our 3 year old and newborn. I love taking them to new places and they adapt really well.

We’ve flown a few times with my Sept baby, 14 months on a 12 hour flight to South Africa and then two shorter flights to Europe at around 20 months. We had a lovely time. South Africa was for family so slightly different but we still had a wonderful time in Europe. She napped on the way or we’d go back to the hotel to let her nap. We didn’t have late nights so she could sleep when needed, or not more than an hour or two late, but this didn’t bother us as we had very busy days! We found it best when she sat by a window on the flight and I made sure she drank something on lift off and landing for her ears

Took my toddler when she was about 16 months old and again at 18 months - she was fine on 3/4 flights and a total nightmare on 1… but once there had a great time! Was worth it x

Our first hols with our son was 7m, def easier the younger and less mobile they are. He slept on plane. Its a huge white noise for them. When awake he was happy to play with the menu card and say hello to people sitting behind. We've since been a number of times including Thailand last year, again was all fine. Off to Bali this week for 3 weeks cannot wait. Love showing my LB the world and creating lasting memories.
