First pregnancy, first miscarriage

I feel numb…been trying for 5 years with fertility support, so used to negatives then finally got a positive for it to last all of 5 weeks and 5 days…having a scan tomorrow for a 6 week scan, just don’t see the point and just feel awful and numb at the same time. Had a small but heavy amount of a bleed yesterday, haven’t had anything since. Why is this journey soooo difficult 😔

Hi, this happened to me! I had 3 years of negatives then suddenly got positives took like 6 tests and didn’t believe it but ended in a chemical! I got my rainbow and was pregnant 3 weeks later though! I’m sorry for your loss but you will get there! I hope this gives you some hope! X

Feel this on every level 🫂 Tried for 10 years to conceive, by some miracle conceived for the first time then miscarried my baby boy at 16w 6d in June 2024 after my waters broke prematurely Conceived again with our baby girl November 2024 what would of been my sons due date, will be 24 weeks on Monday Hasn’t come without stress and complications but we have regular hospital checks so we’re doing everything we can to get her here safely when the time is right The journey is really difficult but its everything you have tried so long for, things will hopefully be different next time if you choose to try again in the future and i would like to think you will have a care plan in place (progesterone & aspirin) and support from medical professionals Thinking of you! Take care of yourself during this time drink plenty of fluids and bed rest 🩷

If you only had a small amount of bleeding and nothing today it could be a bleed from a subdural haematoma (I think this is what it’s called). A miscarriage is often accompanied by period like pains which can be worse than a period and you bleed heavy until you pass the baby before it slows down to a period like bleed. Fingers crossed for you that everything is okay tomorrow at the scan🤞🏻x

Thank you lovely ladies. I have severe endo and PCOS, so just feel like I’m going to be trying again for another 5 years…I know that’s probably not the case. I want to know how long after a miscarriage is it ok to start trying again etc? I don’t have natural periods as I was prescribed Provera to induce bleeds and this cycle was our first time on metformin AND clomid (this was a last resort as we’ve tried all other route) before self funding IVF due to my husband already having a child from a previous partner xxx

@Julia thank you Julia, I have Google endless reasons and causes 🤦🏻‍♀️ it was just that one bleed on Friday, I’ve had nothing since and no pains etc. I would love nothing more than for things to be ‘ok’ tomorrow but unfortunately my mind has just programmed itself to think the worst you know? Xx

I know it’s hard not to worry. When I got pregnant the second time after my miscarriage I was testing everyday and one day I had a bleed and had a scan at 6.5 weeks and showed my baby was absolutely fine with a little flickering heartbeat. Hopefully everything is okay tomorrow x
