Voted no but technically I did when my son was 8 months old. It ended in an early miscarriage though.
Anyone fertile with the relevant organs can get pregnant while breastfeeding. The Lactation Amenorrhea Method (LAM) is a clinically tested form of birth control based on breastfeeding directly (not pumping, not bottle feeding) at very specific time intervals every single day for 6 months, at which point the LAM method is no longer reliable. It requires research and “perfect use” for it to be a reliable form of birth control.
Yeah twice
I refused to believe its safe to have unprotected sex while exclusively breast feeding. I was like nope, NOpe. NOPE! Apparently you're more likely to have twins too. Condoms all the way and double checked too. No more babies! I'm not going back on birth control as it killed my sex drive. I have a sex drive for the first time in a decade and it's nice. There's a 3 year waiting list for a vasectomy whoop whoop not 🫠😹
I am now 👀 11 weeks with 11 month old
@Helen 3 year waitlist 😱
Yes. On purpose. I got pregnant when my baby was 10 months old. I never used breastfeeding to try to avoid pregnancy, that’s a risky choice, even if you meet all of the parameters it’s not the best form of birth control. I was past the 6 month mark anyway and already ruled out because even though I exclusively breastfed my cycle returned at 7 weeks postpartum. 😩
@Dana 🦅♥️🤍💙 its so strange how it can come back so early for some! I have a 10 month old, i started combo feeding a month ago but was exclusively breastfeeding and my cycle still hasnt returned yet. But i have been tracking lh strips and supposedly I might have finally ovulated but we will see
Yes, twice!
Yes, intentionally, it wasn't until my first was 27 months, still breastfed. My cycle didn't return until 21 months pp
@Nai yup! I was surprised myself, it's like 5k to go private if I remember rightly. Money we don't have.
@Helen my hubby works at the clinic that does it so we’re getting squeezed in. They do have a waitlist too just not 3 years
My mom with my sister
My next question for those who did- how many times a day were you breastfeeding? Were you having longer than 4/6 hr stretches? @Aaliyah🤪 @Nai @Dana 🦅♥️🤍💙 @Louise

@Sam my boy is greedy. I’m a sahm and have been demand feeding since he was born. He will feed every hour if he can
@Nai same! He would stay attached to me all night on my boob if I let him
Yep 7weeks pp it's a lieeeeeee, 2 kids under 1
@Helen twins over here! Oldest was around 8/9 months! I was feeding her around 8 times in 24 hours and once or twice overnight. Lots of things can increase chance of twins and breastfeeding is one of them indeed!
@Sam It is so interesting how different it is. For my oldest it came back at 5 months postpartum. For my second 8ish weeks and 7 weeks for my third. It was 45-50 days between cycles. I was still feeding every 2 hours during the day and some days once at night.
I hope you get a positive soon! ☺️
Yes, intentionally when my first was about 19 months and only feeding 2x per day.
@Mou omg! I didnt know that
Yup just did that my last baby will be one when my next baby is born this summer
Yep and it’s so hard to continue BF when you’re pregnant
