I’ve had mastitis for seven months now.
I’ve had a very disappointing and miserable experience breastfeeding this time. I’ve had breast pain the entire seven months. Trying to wean her now :( I’ve had two ultrasounds and a mammogram no abnormal findings but going for an MRI now which scares me it’s something more serious. 😳
Anyone have a similar experience. A lot of burning and pain during BF and at let down.

Yes 9 months and I had mastitis 8 times. Have to quit breastfeeding was so devistating because I loved it so much I wanted to for 2 years. She had a very shallow latch. I don’t know if it was me or her but I also had an oversupply .

Ooof. Have you visited lactation nurses or a SLP? That might mean a mechanical issue on baby's end like a tongue tie or something else causing a shallow latch. (It was super painful for me. First had a tongue tie and second had a very shallow latch but no tongue tie) Sounds like weaning is the right decision for you. Good luck and I hope everything resolves!
