Could you put a floor bed in your room next to your bed? That's what we did with my daughter. She always comes into our room, but it's always in the middle of the night, so maybe a slightly different situation to you. She was upset about it at first, but after 2 nights she accepted it and she doesn't even wake us up now when she comes into our room x
You are not alone! My daughter is 4 in August and she comes alive at night! (Even more so, she doesn't stop during the day either!) Seriously spend 8pm-10pm trying to get her to stop being so hyper! She will sleep in her own bed but only if I stay with her until she falls asleep and then she ends up coming back into ours at 1am - still gives us a few hours to ourselves! Even if we are knackered all the time! She was born in the early hours of the morning and I blame that 😅🤣 x
Yes bedtime is such a battle!
@Paige this is exactly what I’m going through!!! So glad to know I’m not alone but also feel your pain lol x
Does he sleep in a single or double bed? Getting a double bed really helped us. He does call me during the night if he wakes up, but then i can lay down with him comfortably until he falls asleep, or even get an hour of sleep there myself. He does also wake up way less often, as he as plenty of space to roll around. We just explained to him, that it is his big boy bed and we will stay with him until he falls asleep, ensuring him that we’re just behind the wall, but he has to call us, not come to our bed if he is scared or something
My girl will never sleep alone. I’m still almost as sleep deprived as I was when she was a newborn as she wakes and fidgets in her sleep. But we are not failures, some children are just like this. I go to ALL lengths to ensure she has run around like crazy all day, and try my best to stop any naps, then she’ll sleep quite happily on her own until 2-3am. It doesn’t always happen, but I do see a vast improvement when I let her exert lots of physical energy in the day and stop any naps.
My little boy has a double floor bed. Needs someone to stay with him whilst he falls asleep which is his dad (I have the baby) Then dad often sneaks away for a couple hours and then always goes to bed in our little boys bed. Our son can sleep by himself for a few hours but after that needs to have someone there or he will wake all. The. Time. What are wake and bed times? Maybe he's just not tired enough 😮💨
I had this issue with my toddler and she sleeps in her bed now, easiest way for me was to lay in his bed with him if you can or in the living room or your bedroom with your son until he falls asleep then put him in his bed I also got her a night light that stays on during the night so she’s not frightened by waking up in darkness if she does wake up x
