I definitely had actual depression during my last two pregnancies - that felt a lot more than just emotions. I just pushed through it and cried a lot. However, if you feel unsafe with the emotions you are feeling and if your therapist isn’t taking you seriously, try talking to your OBGYN about it. Prenatal depression is a thing.
The weight is the hormones, the feeling is not. Yes hormones make you a little bit more sensitive and you’re on an emotional roller coaster but that doesn’t make the feelings that you’re having any less valid. Katie is right, perinatal depression is real and if you feed dismissed by your therapist your OB might be able to help! The earlier you get help the earlier you feel better and reduce the risk of you having PPD ❤️
Hormones at the end are absolutely at an all time high, your feelings are valid regardless. You'll probably look back and see for yourself that it shouldn't have been such a big deal in the moment, however it was/is and that's okay
