Formula Fed and still up multiple times

Anyone else FF baby still up multiple time and having more than one feed? Ive read it's normal but all I hear is babies sleeping through or just one wake? For context he's 14 weeks, will go to sleep at 7:30 do anywhere from 4-6 hrs have a feed, is up again 3/3:30 generally a small feed but won't go back without this, and then he'll wake around 6:30/7 but will often be in our bed from 5am and he's very unsettled. I'm not complaining as compared to my first this is a gift but just seeing so many sleeping babies!!

My ff baby is struggling and only sleeping 1-2 hours at a time. But we are working on getting a handle on his acid reflux and proper feeding amounts to not upset his stomach! Hopefully they'll sleep better soon 😭😂

Snap, completely normal.

Remember that you will only hear about the two extremes on this app - either the “incredible” sleepers or the “terrible” sleepers - you won’t hear about the average or standard. Minority of babies will be sleeping through it just looks like loads are because it’s what you’ll be hearing about - one feed is absolutely brilliant af this age!

My baby is exact same as yours. 8:30-3:30/4 usually. Feed. Then he’s up 5:30 and up for the day at 7. The hardest part is the second half of the night when you’re really only getting an hour and a half sleep until he’s up bright and shiny for the day

At this age 7.30 is really early for them to be going to bed & sleeping through. Our little boy is 12 weeks & we give him his last feed about 8.30/9 so he goes down to bed at 9.30/10ish & then sleeps through until 7, he has only been doing this for a week though so could all change 🤣🤣xx

@Emma I'm not expecting him to sleep though like I said it still feels like a gift 😂😂 7:30 has worked out as his bedtime through his own routine, he's awful if we try and keep him up past that time! I'm still shocked how early it is 😂 just felt like I was the only one having get ups

@Melony Reflux has been a big issue for us too! It seems to be settling down now thankfully hope it does for you too :)

@Megan the second part of the night is hard for us cos hes so unsettled! He keeps stirring and needing the quickest resettles ever ever hour or so, but at least I get a first good half I tell myself 😂

Mine exactly the same, sometimes he will go to sleep earlier. We have tried later but it doesn't work and still wakes up few times in the night x

My daughter will be 15 weeks Wednesday she has her last bottle about 7:30 and then she wakes up anytime between 11:30-1:30 and then again anytime between 3:30-4:30 and is then up for the day from 6:30-7:30 x

@jasmine oh so little night twins!! How do get her settle in her cot after the second wake? It's like he's suddenly aware he's not with me!

Most of the time she falls asleep as im trying to burp her but she suffers from reflux so i just keep her led in my arms for about 10/15 mins before putting her back and she can stir sometimes so i do put my hand on her belly whilst shes settling and then gently removing it and other times she has to be cuddled and put back to sleep which can take about an hour like last night she decided she needed a chat before going to sleep😅x

I know a lot of people dont agree with it and i dont really like doing it but sometimes when she really wont go back into her cot i put her our bed giving her lots of spacing its not very often but it works for us x

Thanks for this post, because I was starting to worry that mine doesn't sleep through the night. He sleep between 7.30 to 9.30 and is similar sleep for about 5 hours and feeds, sleeps and then around 6 wakes up. I keep reading babies sleeping for 10, 12 hours. I just can't see that with him yet. I think we have to realise that all babies are different.

@jasmine we have bad reflux too!! It's so hard isn't it 😣😣 thanks :)

@jasmine we tend to end up cosleeping around 4:30/5am tbf!

@Aneesa after that first stretch it just goes downhill doesn't it 😂😂 it's nice to know it's normal!

Yes definitely, he sleeps for longer so I was happy with that haha. I look forward to those days where he sleeps through the night but I know they day this time is the hardest as you start to build a routine with them and its not always going to be perfect. Definitely feels nice to know im not the only one!

This is the exact same as my little boy xxx

So my wee girl slept 11:30-7 from 6 weeks old. I’ve tried so hard to push my wee boys bedtime to even 10 because he’s doing the 7-8 hours street from 8:30-3:30/ sometimes as late as 5am. But he cracks up if he’s awake past 8:30pm. It’s fine I know eventually his sleep will get even longer and then we have both babies in bed for 8:30 so it’s working for us. Unless they’re on formula and getting ALL their feeds during the day they can’t be expected to sleep through yet xx

My baby is 12 weeks and his last meal will be somewhere between 22:00-23:00 and he will sleep throughout until 7:30-8:30. He's been doing this since he was 3 weeks old. Maybe try and keep him up until 21:00 feed him and put him to sleep?

@Tibet we've tried pushing his bedtime back but he goes absolutely hysterical, I'm not at all bothered by the wakes, I was more curious if I was the only one 😂
