whoever started this rumor lied! 🤥

The person who said " breastfeeding helps you lose weight" is a liar! Lol, I breastfed for 10 months and didn't lose a pound. I don't regret the journey, but im not going to lie. I only started for that possibility. Then, I ended up really enjoying feeding my baby and understanding how AWESOME we are as women !!!!! What about you- did you loose weight? And how was your breastfeeding experience?

I gained weight lol, idk how that started honestly cause breastfeeding made me so hungry, feels like all I do is eat I breastfed my first then when I had my second I breastfed both of them, now the oldest is weaned and I'm still going with the youngest lol

Not a rumor, that’s my secret to weightloss, I guess our body works differently 😂

It's a bit tricky because it makes you hungry. Like Neanderthal hungry. But if you can curb your cravings and snack on healthy low calorie foods you will lose weight.

I gained weight because it was making me hungry. I’m still breastfeeding but I’m on a calorie deficit now

@Jessica shout out to ya!

@Nevaeh same, shout out to ya ! Keep it up mama !

@Char shout out to ya ! Keep feeding that baby mama! Weight gain or not we do it for the best of our kids! Great work mama's

Hahaha that’s such a lie I was told too! Im only 4 weeks PP but have still gained weight because I’m ALWAYS hungry

Nope. Nothing. I think I've lost a little since immediately after birth but tbh it's doing nothing for me now in the weight loss department. In fact, it just makes it harder to get out and exercise etc so I don't think it's helpful 😂

I think it can make you gain as you’re often sitting down breastfeeding for hours a day when you may otherwise have been active.

I have never weighed more than when I was breast feeding my 2nd

I lost weight BF. But I’m very picky w what I eat I avoid junk because it makes me feel bloated and sick so I just don’t eat it, and I’m out and about pushing the pram all day so even though I’m BF I’m also never home as a sahm, I get an average of 8k steps in a day every day. BF, being home all day, hence exposed to food and snacking/eating all day, I guess yeah one would gain weight. What Anni said- we’re sitting down Bf for hours a day but after I BF I’m on my feet and walking again, until I eat or until I BF again whatever comes first that’s when I sit again. So it’s not just Bf, it’s the lifestyle and diet choices that comes w it. Another BF mums’ lifestyle would look a lot different to mine etc.

Maybe you ate to replenish what baby was taking away. I was barely holding on to life when breast feeding lol

I’ve lost too much weight to the point people noticed and I was very tiny before too, all our bodies work so differently xx

I was before 20yo when I had my first, lost the weight before 4m pp 10y later I had my 2nd, didn't lose any weight. Fluctuating losing and gaining for the first year Body changes, bodies are different

I went from 90kg at the end of my first pregnancy to 52kg at the end of my second babies breastfeeding journey. I actually weighed less when my son was 16m/6m pregnant than I did pre pregnancy with my first baby

I gained weight breastfeeding , right after I stopped, dropped all the weight and some

Lol it wasnt the case for me either. I breast fed over 2yrs and that weight stuck on. If you research it though its actually a good thing health wise for you and baby if you have some extra weight on still etc. There is heaps of info out there about it. Might not be what you want but is a good thing

I lost so much weight my Dr was concerned. I didn't have support at home. So I wasn't eating as much as I should. But after I started seeing my dietician again I started just maintaining

@Bethan absolutely!

@Anni yes and no sleep

@Bethany lol I love us . The things we do for our baby's

@Kellie wooohooo shout out to you mama !!! Go girl .

@Nef girl me to and that still didn't help. Thank God you pulled through !

@Chelsea truee! So glad ur ok mama!

@Nef I thought if I don’t eat then I won’t have milk. Is that not the case?? Cuz I’ve been eating more worrying that if I don’t my milk will reduce

Yeah didn’t lose weight. I even started counting calories and I lost three pounds but couldn’t lose anymore

@Vanny shout out to ya mama's!

@Kirsty i actually heard the same adds more fat to the breast milk. Good fat for baby.
