Biting through dummies

Anyone else’s toddler keep biting through their dummy? My 16 month old daughter bit through 2 dummies in the last week. She bites a hole in the bottom of her dummy and then starts pulling it. Is this a sign to get rid of her dummy?

Following because my little boy is doing the same 😅

My little boy is the same age and he was also chewing through his dummies. We had to throw loads away because he’d almost completely chewed the ends of them off! When I looked online for info about it, it did recommend weaning them off as it can become a choking hazard. Initially I hid them all away during the day so he couldn’t see them and I just kept them for night times if he needed it to get to sleep, but I was finding the less he had it, he started falling asleep fine without it. He’s not had a dummy now for about 6 weeks! x
