I’m in the same boat! My girl is small though, just turned 1 and is 17 pounds. The doctor says she just doesn’t have enough fat stored to go all night without eating yet. Not sure if this helps or not

My daughter is the same! It probably doesn’t help that we room share though, so if she hears us come in and it disturbs her she will wake. But I’ve noticed if I really load her up on healthy fats and proteins she will sleep a longer stretch before her MOTN bottle, and even sometimes sleep through the night, but it hasn’t been consistent yet.

@Moanna same here. I have noticed that too about giving food more during the day helps him sleep until early morning. But my boy doesnt eat full everyday sometimes we only reach halfway and he is distracted.

@Taylor i am gna ask his doctor in my next appointment. Thanks for letting me know about the doctor.

Just in case someone is in my boat… my almost 1 year old still wakes up many times throughout the night to eat. 2 times minimum. She is sooo busy that she has no interest in milk during the day. She is extremely physically active and has been walking for 3 months. 🙈

I had the same question and asked the doctor on his 1 year appointment. He said either the baby is teething and in pain, for which you can’t do anything and it will pass as soon as the tooth erupts. In case she does it out of habit- which we as parents have inculcated, we need to break it. To do so, start giving sips of water instead of milk. In some days the baby would think it’s not worth it waking up. Giving water to break the habit worked for me. I hope this helps.

If you think it’s genuine hunger and not just a habit you, could try giving her 1-2 teaspoons of grass fed butter during dinner. I saw that hack on IG and it’s my go to if the baby isn’t liking the dinner too much and I want to make sure she doesn’t sleep hungry.

My son still wakes up two hours! I don’t feel comfortable letting him cry it out. He’s still a baby, and such a sweet boy.

@Liv I’m with you! This past week my daughter did some longer stretches for the first time since october! I know it won’t last forever and I’d rather her be in touch with her needs, have her needs met l, and know that I’m there for her. ♥️
