There’s a sleep regression at around 1 year old but it can come early. But also depends on their overall sleep schedule. Usually at a year they still want 2 naps, unless you try to stretch the wake windows and force them to 1 nap. I would just try maintaining the same consistent schedule and it’s most likely a regression. From both my kids a regression comes where they’d be awake in the night ready to play too but my regressions never lasted super long.
@Louise it varies from 7pm to 8pm, but I’ve put him to bed earlier and later and it still hasn’t helped 🥲
Maybe try capping the day time naps. Do 40 mins for each.
@Nikki I was thinking maybe a regression as he’s normally a good sleeper unless ill of teething!
@Scarlett I get confused with day naps, would 2 x 40 be enough then?
I wouldn’t cap the naps especially if she’s not getting the full sleep at night. My daughter is over 10 months and takes 3 hours of nap time a day and still sleeps 11-12 hours at night. 3 hours of naptime a day is completely normal. You’re doing everything right it’s just going to take time for a regression. A lot is happening at a year. Growth, learning skills to walk, I wouldn’t change around her schedule
@Nikki okay thank you! I thought it might have to be something I need to ride out🥲😂
Yeah I think capping naps will make baby overtired and make it even harder to sleep. 2 40 min naps wouldn’t be nearly enough for my daughter. She needs at least 3 hours of nap time a day. She does 3-3.5 hours daily.
It’s a regression. In our case he settled back around the 12.5 month mark. Good luck, you’ll get through it. ❤️
@Lara it’s coming up to week 2 now, do you remember how long it roughly lasted 🥺❤️
@Nikki he definitely does need it, I normally let him nap for as much as he wants and before this regression it was working well! Normally 1.5 to 2 hours in the morning then either 30 to and hour nap in the afternoon!
What time is bedtime?
