I had similar, bleeding had almost stopped then ramped up again at 4-5 weeks PP. Turned out to be retained placenta that they needed to get rid of. They did say when I rang that it could have been my period starting again but I also had some stomach pains and it just didn't feel right to me so went in to get checked & scanned and they saw that it was some bits still left. Definitely worth ringing triage to double check as better safe than sorry (I was just out of the timings for staying with the hospital midwives etc but if you explain the situation they should still help) Good luck!
@Victoria what sort of pains were you having? I’ve been having like period type pains and feeling quite sick? I’ve got my 6 week check this week so i could ask then x
Mine didn't feel crampy/period type ones, more constant than that although I think they thought it should be crampy for what I had but who knows. If your check isn't until the end of this week I'd at least ring & speak to someone sooner just in case. Apparently the concern is infection and/or too much bleeding so better to get checked sooner rather than later if you can (hard work around a newborn I know!)
Not sure about feeling sick but if you have a temperature/feel generally unwell that could be a sign of an infection too so definitely worth getting checked.x
I was the same but wasn’t breast feeding. It was my first period after birth and it lasted for 6/7 days i started to use the flo app so i can start tracking roughly when i will be due a period xx
