That sounds like what I do and feel when i have an autistic meltdown. And so I still have them but it’s a lot less once I learned I was autistic and how to accommodate my sensory needs and to learn to regulate myself a bit better before the meltdown becomes full blown. Just walking away from the situation before it gets to the point where I’m hitting myself… doesn’t always work but it has reduced them
It sounds ridiculous but legit sour candy, or like they make these frozen grapes (they’ve got other fruits too) that are coated in the sour candy coating & it’s genuinely very helpful. The burst of cold & sour both help your brain disengage from the rage for a minute. Also scream singing the alphabet or any song that comes to mind if you feel the need to yell.
