@Hazel honestly feel like I’m losing the plot at this point 🤣 One day he talks the next he ‘regresses’ so I never trust what I hear anymore . This morning he called Laalaa gaga so he’s definitely trying 🤞🏻 hopefully this time it sticks / develops and he doesn’t regress for the 4th time

Even if you a hear a sound match in the word, it counts as a word for him. It’s tough to match all the sounds in a word or he uses what he is familiar with. Sounds like he is trying! Something that helped my lo: When playing, do animated play by describing what you are playing with eg. The ball is red, the duck is yellow and goes quack! - this will help expand their vocab with simple statements like this. When you notice he starts to pick up your “catchphrases”, then start using new ones!

Some people don’t like tv, but if you have him watch the ms Rachel toddler talking videos, those really helped my lo.

Or like if your little man is watching tv, repeat and animate what’s happening in the storyline. Eg. She is helping her friend! And emphasize 3x or more so they maybe make an attempt at it.

@Jadie we’ve been following guidance of professionals for a year we started with narrating but it didn’t help (we continue this still but doesn’t make any difference) He’s picked more up from watching teletubbies than he has anything else We stopped ms Rachel as we personally found it to be brain rot for milo, soon as we changed to children’s programs we saw a big difference in his communication so personally wouldn’t suggest ms Rachel to anyone

@Katie were in the same place with Niko - one day he’s walking holding onto just one of our hands, the next he can’t pull himself up to stand! These kids are gaslighting us! I’m glad he’s making progress though, hopefully it will be a tsunami this time!

@Hazel they’re definitely playing games with us!! I think milos been able to somewhat talk all along since he said his first word in March 2024 but just choosing to be little shit and scream/moan instead of talk . The words he does say before he ‘regresses’ as SALT like to say come out of absolutely no where like he’s been able to say them all along . Niko just wants you to carry him or push him everywhere 🤣 lazy unless he can be arsed. think they’ve been plotting this all along 😂😂
