Did you help your baby to crawl?

She’ll get there! That’s the first step! I sometimes prop my LO’s legs under her bum when she does that. Or let her push off my hands when she’s on her tummy. It helps for her to realize she can be mobile by pushing off with her legs

I helped her a decent amount but she still didn’t crawl till she was ready. I think one thing that really helped was kneeling play, we got her a table that transitions into a walker push walker and I’d sit her in front of it on her knees. No toys really motivated her, it was actually her brush that got her to do her first little crawl so maybe look for whatever she just really wants even if it’s not a toy. Something else is she was pulling herself to standing before she was crawling and I think she just had more motivation to crawl so she could get to stuff and pull herself up lol

I have no idea how my guy started at 5 months 😭 standing and cruising by 6 months. I actually tried to discourage it (or at least wasn’t encouraging it lol) because I reallyyyy wasn’t ready for him to start getting into things this early 🫠 that being said I have a friend who’s tried a lot and her 9mo still can’t.. so I really think every babe is different and will figure it out at their own pace 🤗🩷

I bought her a crawling toy. I’m not sure if that helped though cause she wasn’t interested in it. But she was determined to crawl since 4 months. I also did what first comment said when she use to get up on all fours I use to show her how to move her feet because that was the only part she couldn’t figure out cause she had the hand movements. Also she’s alwayssss on her floor for tummy time. And then she’s been around older kids who’s crawling and walking so I think that gave her a push too because she started getting interested in moving around after just one day at being at daycare

My boy isn’t truly crawling but man can he get around 😂 -He belly crawls (army crawl) but he gets around quickly. -He can be placed to sit and be unsupported but doesn’t sit by himself. -He loves to stand and has done this since he was like 2 months old but not able to pull himself up yet. -I have a feeling once my son really discover his knee/leg coordination, I’m going to get the triple whammy of all of this together 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 All babies go at their own pace, the milestone reference is just a guideline and they are learning so much and things we don’t see or realize.
