We have 25mth gap and never bothered with a double buggy. We got by with a second hand buggy board and carrier.

There's 17 months between my boys but my eldest is a pretty confident walker. We got a Hauck Duett 2, the seat underneath is great just for him to sit in if he gets tired or if we're out and about and it's a bit too busy for him to be walking. It also detaches so when he doesn't need it anymore I can just have a normal pushchair again

I have a 20 month age gap between my two and never bothered with a double buggy. We do have a buggy board but we’re now 9 months in and have never used it. My eldest has always much preferred to walk and will either help push the pushchair or if he starts to get tired, he’ll stand on the back of the pushchair for the last stretch. However, if you’re eldest isnt much of a walker or you rely on walking to a lot of places, then I think a double buggy or buggy board at least will be a must. I’m fortunate to drive so we only actually rely on the pushchair for my youngest once we’ve finally get to wherever we’re going.

I got both! If I’m on my own with them I take the double pram as it’s my safe space and I know if my toddler kicks off I can put him in there and have control of them both. If I’m with my mum or someone I take the egg and buggy board :)

Personally I find the buggy board in the way. Though that may just be with my stroller. Honestly I use my wagon most. Though a sit and stand or a double stroller works too.
