Mine was after a month as I really struggled with walking and getting around
See I don’t feel too sore I think I’d manage even a walk to nursery cause it’s a 5 minute walk if that but don’t want to overdo it 🫣
I went on my first walk with little one exactly a month after he was born, probably would’ve been earlier had the time of year/weather been different! He was born in November it was freezing, icy, cold and I struggled for the first few weeks with my c-section recovery! I think it’s personal preference tbh, if you feel like you’re able to go for a short walk and it’ll help I’d definitely go, just keep it short and slow xx
Day 5 postpartum I went on my first walk. When I say walk I just went up and down my street lol
I went for a walk on day 4 just round the block. I think I kept going out though each day after that and who knows if that’s caused it but I’m now 10 weeks post partum and my scar is still not healed so please be careful! I regret not listening to everyone telling me to rest because all I want to do now is take my baby swimming and exercise again and I’m probably still quite a while off 😢
For me it was after my first week just went up and down the high street x
I went on a walk by myself during the day 7 of PP I only did two laps around my apartments car lot.
Once I would say 2 weeks after my c section
Day 4 just round the block my partner pushed the pram. It’s important to get moving as soon as you feel ready but don’t overdo it xx
I went out on day 2, but it was literally across the road to a bench that overlooks a field where we can let our dogs run. Then just along our road and back in the days following that. Don’t worry about where or how far, just getting out the front door even if just a few minutes will make you feel great!!! No pressure to go far! Xx
Day 5, just around the block using the pram for support x
After a week, so 5 days after being home.
Day 2. Walking is good for you!
Day 4 x

Day 3 x
Day 5 but it was literally a 15 min walk. It felt amazing to get out of the house though
A few days after! But it was just a little walk round our estate, probably 15-20 mins? And then just built it up everyday ☺️ I found it easier pushing the pram as it was something to hold on to x
I went on a walk on day 3 🙏🏻
Thanks everyone 🥰 I’ve been walking round the house etc so might go a little walk to do the nursery pick up tomorrow since it’s not too far 😊 xx
I had my section on 15th so a week ago tomorrow 😊
I started going out daily as soon as we got home (3 days pp), although for the first week or so was literally just to the end of the street and back with partner pushing the pram
I think it was maybe two three weeks postpartum for me? Didn’t go very far because it was December and cold. Just take it slow!
4 weeks but I also had anxiety about leaving the house and I had an emergency c sections due to complications so I was recovering from that as well x
Day 4
Day 9, but only got home on day 7!
3 days I started just wee walk round the block xx
I’ve had 4 c sections and I’m having my 5th so I feel like a pro at this point lol but for myself personally I NEED to get out, it helps tremendously with my baby blues. Usually a week or so after my c section I’m out and about even if it’s just a park trip with my other Littles and husband. Just take it easy and listen to your body.
I went on day 5, it was a short walk on my block. It was great to be outside
The next day

We left the hospital day 3 pp and went on our first walk with the dog that afternoon. We did about a mile a day from day 3 on. Just listen to your body, but in general movement is very good for healing.
Day 1😂 Got home from the hospital. Had food. Went straight out to my parents to introduce my daughter to my dad who hadn't met her yet. My dad's autistic and it was the most adorable thing I've ever seen. I pretty much went out every day, was on my feet constantly and just didn't sit still haha. Was kinda painful sometimes, but I pushed through it and healed up pretty quick.
The day we got home from the hospital after discharge. Babe was born at 1241 in the morning. We were home the next day by 11. and out for a walk at 1.
Day 2 in the hospital hall. Did 4 laps
Think about day 3 when I felt able too we took the dog for a slow walk about 10 minutes
I was walking laps around the nurses station while still at the hospital lol but i also went for a walk the day i got home from the hospital ..just a short walk but it was good
Day 2/3 we ended up back in hospital for jaundice and the walk from the car to the room is 5/10 minutes. And I felt fine with that x
I went for a walk after a few days, slow and steady x
Probably 5 days
Hi Leanne Congratulations on your baby. Hope you’re both doing well. We advise that you do try and do short walks at first but not to overdo it. Sometimes we feel fine but sometimes e still need to allow our bodies rest. Particularly if you have a toddler as well as a new born to care for. Our medical grade Care Suit is a fabulous tool to support the body (abdomen and lower back which over compensates at this time), it provides a superior blood supply to the wounded layers, it helps with pain relief, gives stability (for when you are having to tender to smaller toddlers whilst in this recovery phase, more than likely you are going to be lifting your toddler again soon if you haven’t already). It helps with your posture, reduce swelling and provides lymphatic drainage. And it also prevents the overhang occurring. It’s an amazing healing tool which is part of our Home Recovery kit that we provide in London’s top private maternity hospitals. Check out our instagram page 🖤
With my first.. it was the second day I was home.
