This was happening to us up until around week 9/ 10 when suddenly she became much more content in the next to me throughout the night. Before this we just leant into cosleeping and would lie her on mattress next to me with my arm around her x
Coslept with this baby since birth (well since night two I just spent the whole of the first night in hospital awake). I've not been able to put him down at all. He's my second and I coslept with my first after the 4 month sleep regression. A couple of nights ago he did his first ever stretch in the next to me but when I have tried to replicate it after it's not worked. Looking after a toddler means I can't sleep in the day like I did with my first so I don't have the energy to keep trying put him in the next to me. Also he clearly feels much more secure in physical contact with me. I do find I do stay in the c curl and also baby stays in the same position too. It may be that moving position is what woke you up or you did it whilst you were waking so you may not have been on your back for as long as you thought.
Our first 2 stints of nighttime sleep are generally good and he sleeps in his cot brilliantly. He wakes around 5 for a feed and after that he's pretty unsettled so after that feed we cosleep following safe 7 (or I guess 6 because not breastfeeding?) and we get until about 7:30-8am ish though this morning he went until almost 9am which mama loved 😊
Go through your exact same scenario and do the same solution xx
We do not co-sleep, we put baby in moses basket awake/partially awake and he falls asleep in there from 8/8:30pm to around 3/4 for a feed then back to sleep again until 7/8am x
I’ve co slept since birth, did with first child too! If you’re nervous I highly recommend the Owlet sock which is a non negotiable here xx
Same here 😁😁😁. Baby will only sleep in the cot for the first lap, but after that, he'll wake up once his back touches the cot bed. I used to hold him and sit on the sofa, but I couldn't continue going without sleep. So, I started co-sleeping but making it safe for and comfortable for him
