How many feeds per day breastfeeding

My 8.5month old is exclusively breastfed. She is now on 3 meals a day and eats varying amounts but has generally taken well to weaning. I've noticed she spends much less time breastfeeding now and barely asks for it, I'm more offering it to her rather than her asking for it. I try to make sure it's 3 hourly but struggling now as she's napping longer and eating meals. Just wondered what others breastfeeding 'schedule' looks ?

My baby is the same age, also taken well to weaning and been on 3 meals for a while now. I do 4 breast feeds a day, (roughly) 7am, 11am, 3pm and 7pm - he usually has 1 feed during the night around 4am. He feeds for about 5 mins each feed but think he’s very efficient and guzzling it quite quickly!

This is something I could of wrote myself!

We are not having three meals yet, but wondering how to make sure that milk remains the main source of nutrition… I offer on demand a couple of times a day and night

My 8 month old has 3 meals a day and I just feed him when he seems like he is hungry between that. He probably feeds 4/5 times during the day (varies from 2-3 mins if he's awake and 10-20 if he feeds to sleep). He does feed 3 times on average through the night though so is having 7 or 8 feeds a day still!

Feel exactly the same with you with regards to offering. I would say we are down to 4 bfs a day and she takes both sides each time. One when she wakes up for the day. One throughout the day. One before bed and one overnight.

I could have written this as well! My 7.5 month old has just started 3 meals a day and since he just isn't interested in milk apart from in the night. Which is troubling as he used to sleep through 😂😂 I would say in the last 24 hours he has had 5 feeds varying in time and then his 3 full meals
