Advice!

Ok. So, I know this isn’t a TTC question. But I thought this might be the best place to get advice. I spent over three years not having intercourse. April 15th, I had intercourse. We used a condom the ENTIRE time. My cycle was due the 17th. I haven’t been late in well over a year. I am now 4 days late with zero signs of my cycle coming. I have three children already. But I swear I FEEL pregnant. And I’m having all the early signs I had with my other kids. And yes, I had the symptoms within a week of getting pregnant. BUT we used a condom AND it was two days before?? I’m pretty sure it’s impossible for me to be pregnant. I’m fine either way. But I’m also confused on when to take a test. It’s been 6 days since the act. 4 days late. When would you take a test??

Wait 2 weeks after the act

You had intercourse two days before what? Two days before your period was due?

@Kayla yes. I know it’s extremely unlikely. I’m trying to find out if anyone ever got pregnant at that time. Research says unlikely but possible. I’m now 5 days late😅 hoping it’s just hormones or something thrown off😅

@Mariah Yeah then i'm going to say no. You have to be ovulating in order to conceive and you wouldn't be ovulating 2 days before your period starts . There would be no egg present in order to even be fertilized 2 days before a period . Most likely stress or your hormones delaying your period. I've been a whole week late before when i wasn't pregnant at the time. At 4 days late, a test would be accurate so i recommend testing.

@Kayla that’s my thought as well. It’s just so wierd that I’m 5 days late and having all the same symptoms I had the first 2 weeks of all my pregnancies. I was very hopeful everyone would agree 😂😂

@Mariah Sometimes symptoms can be physiological unfortunately. When we want something so badly, we imagine things. Thats how i was almost every cycle of trying to conceive. When i actually got pregnant, i didn't have any symptoms or anything until after i had found out. I would've never known i was pregnant at the beginning if it wasn't for my husband & i trying and me randomly testing one day. And i don't want to just agree and say yes and that its possible when its extremely unlikely. I don't want to get anyone's hopes up. I know what it feels like and it's an awful feeling when you want something so badly and it doesn't happen. I would take a test. It would be accurate at 4 days late, the box of a pregnancy test says that most tests are 99% accurate as early as 5-6 days before a missed period or the day of a missed period. I found out 6-7 whole days before my missed period:)

@Kayla I am not trying! At all. This was my first time sleeping with this guy after 3 months of dating lol we agreed that if something like that happened we were ready for any of it (I refused to do anything until I knew we agreed that we would be okay if something happened) but I definitely would have never even considered this except I feel like I did my first week or two with my last two pregnancies. This would be pregnancy number 6 if I just so happened to be. I’m fairly certain I’m not. But I wanted to see if it had happened to anyone. Thankfully so far it hasn’t 😂

@Mariah Yeah i think you're in the clear if you had intercourse 2 days before your period was supposed to start, which is super unlikely for ovulation to occur.
